About:
Get to know our nearest European neighbours a little better by learning French at Leftbank! From the cosmopolitan streets of Paris to the wines and cuisine of the various regions, France is a culture worth exploring, not to mention the thirty-two other countries that the language is spoken in.
Our courses are designed to be fun and engaging, introducing you not just to the language, but also the culture, food and personality of France. We run classes at three levels: Beginners - for complete beginners to the language, Beginners 2 - for those who have grasped the basics and Pre-Intermediate - for improvers and medium-level students.
Lessons are taught by native French speakers and cover a variety of topics. There is a particular focus on practical situations, helping you to quickly build up the grammar and vocabulary needed to get by in the real world.
French Language Courses run on Monday and Tuesday evenings. You are welcome to join the course at any time although beginners are recommended to start on the first day of the term. Our airy central space upstairs is the perfect place to wind down after work.
Prices
Our classes are £6 per hour and we generally ask
for students to pay for the remainder of the course, although we can be
flexible if that is not possible.
Fees are payable in advance by cheque (made payable to Leftbank Centre) or by cash (sorry, no card payments at the moment), which will guarantee you a place on the course.
